Small human studies suggest that floatation-REST can reduce short-term anxiety or stress symptoms for some participants, but the evidence base is still limited in size, replication and follow-up. Relaxation immediately after a session is not the same as a durable treatment effect for an anxiety disorder.
Larger independent controlled trials with longer follow-up are needed.
