Sweating can contain trace substances, but the current indexed human literature does not establish that infrared sauna produces a clinically meaningful reduction in body burden or improves health by ‘detoxifying’ the body. Evidence about sweat composition is not equivalent to evidence of toxin removal or better clinical outcomes.
A valid test would need prespecified toxins, measured body burden, a comparator and clinically meaningful outcomes.
