HRD Claim Ledger · Living evidence brief

Do infrared saunas lower blood pressure?

Limited direct evidence

Small human studies of infrared sauna or Waon therapy report blood-pressure and vascular changes in selected populations, but the direct evidence remains limited. Results from traditional Finnish sauna or hot-water immersion do not automatically establish that infrared sauna has the same effect.
